5 Ways to Reduce Stress

Do you ever feel like you are falling apart both mentally and physically ?
Everyone has at one time or other in their lives. The toll that family,work,school, friends and life can have on our bodies and minds can lead to stress. It does not have to be that way. You can start today to make a conscious decision to deal with stress.

1.The five minute rule:
Try to be five minutes early. This may not sound like a lot of time but it will save you a lot of stress. I take the bus and train to work. So five minutes could the difference between getting to work on time or not. If I miss my bus ,then I miss my train and then I get in almost 30 later than I usually do. If my bus come at 745AM, then I try to be at the bus stop at 740AM not 745AM. This is less stressful than trying to get the bus at exactly 745AM. I am sure the five minutes rule could make a huge difference in your life as well. Also trying to be five minutes early for our daughter’s appointment help us to stay calm. read more

Everyone knows that eating more fruits and vegetables is essential to attaining good health. Unfortunately, most of us and our kids don’t even eat one serving a day. It has been proven, that an apple an apple a day does keep the doctor away.

Read the steps below to find out how you and your family can increase your fruits and veggies intake:

1. Place your fruits and vegetables where you can see them.
2. Store your fruits next to your favorite drinks.
3. Playing with your fruits and vegetables will lead you and your kids to eat them.
4. Make a fruit salad, put it in the fridge and eat a few pieces before every meal.

Day Off

When was the last time you took a day off? I took a day off a couple of weeks ago.
I want share a few things every parent should do when they take a day off.

Sleep Late if Possible:
Most of us have the regular 9-5 jobs so sleeping late will be relaxing.
It also make your brain know today will be different for the regular routine.

Go Some where New:
Your day off should be filled with a least one new activity. We went to the see the Aquarium and dolphin show.It was our daughter’s first time.Our daughter loved it. We saw sting rays, jelly fishes, and even sharks. read more

You have to believe that you can lose weight and that you will do whatever it takes to reach your goal. Write and revisit your goals as often as possible. Sometimes the biggest reason for our failure is ourselves. Don’t tell yourself that you can’t do it; rather, ask yourself HOW I am going to do it. Will consuming that can of soda and doughnut help you lose weight ? Will choosing a candy bar over an apple help you lose weight ? We know the answer to those questions.
