“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
~ Oprah Winfrey
Thanksgiving is a time that we give thanks for the things we have and reflect on our lives.
We reflect on how life has been going the rest of the year. As strange as it many seem some of us reflect on how the year has gone at the end of the year. We reflect because we want to have a better year next year. Parents as well as everyone else should seek continuous improvement the whole year. Giving thanks should be done everyday. We might be so busy that we forget to be thankful for the “little” things in life. We take these senses for granted. Can you imagine never being able to see and hear the faces and voices of your family ever ? Millions have to live with this type of challenge. But the they don’t dwell on it;rather, they made lemonade with the lemons life threw at them.Helen Keller said,”Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything good in the world.” Unlike Helen, we have have both our sight and hearing. Be thankful for that and go out and do something great in the world.
