Does your child watch Baby Einsteins videos ? Most of us might say yes. But it might not be making them smarter. According to researchers at the University of Washington, these video as well as others “stimulating videos” are doing more harm than good. As per Time Magazine, “the research team found that with every hour per day spent watching baby DVDs and videos, infants learned six to eight fewer new vocabulary words than babies who never watched the videos.” These findings have lead the American Academy of Pediatrics recommending ,in 1999, that children under two should not watch any TV.

“Don’t liter because it is selfish and dirty so don’t do it.”
How many times have you told your kids because I said so when they asked why? Some of us have lost count. The problem is not that they are not listen;rather, the bigger problem is that we are not explaining to them WHY they should not so such and such and such. The quote above is clear, concise, and visual and I think kids would follow that suggestion. Today, we will discuss how we can get our kids to listen to us. It may seem obvious but getting them to listen to us is a job by itself. We must realize that kids are very smart, smarter than we give them credit for, and they ask why to understand the world around them and sometimes to challenge us.

Early this year, I decided to go back to school get a graduate degree. I wanted to update my skills and hopefully advance my career. I realized that it would be difficult to spend time with my family running to work and then to school. So I decided to get my degree online. I started in January ,and it has been great so far. If you are considering advancing your education, then I strongly recommend that you to go to an online college.
Today, I will discuss some pros and cons you should consider if you are thinking of getting your degree online.
“We estimate that 22 million of the world’s children under 5 are overweight or obese.”
~Mary Bellizzi (an expert with the International Obesity Task Force)
Do you worry that your children are part of that statistic ? We should be worried. However, we must understand the cause of obesity if we want to protect our children and even our ourselves as well. I am not an expert in obesity but some of the causes that will be presented here are or should be obvious. As parents,we are so busy that we might and do need reminders.
